Mollie Rachal Stewart passed away on Sunday morning, September 20, 2009. She was 81. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care on Meriwether Road in Shreveport, LA. Funeral services follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Freddie Williford of Ford Park Baptist Church will officiate. Graveside service will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, LA around 3:00 p.m. Mollie loved crafts of all types, particularly flower arranging and ceramics. Preceding her in death are her husband, Q. L. Stewart, First Assistant U.S. Federal District Attorney, 1971; her son, William Edward Stewart, Corporal, U. S. Marines, 1976; and oldest son, Dennis Ronald Stewart, Professor at the Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Janis Stewart Taylor and husband Ronald P. Taylor; three grandchildren, Danny S. Harrison, Michelle Stewart and Jeffrey Stewart; daughter-in-law, Lorraine P. Stewart. She is also survived by her sisters Wilma Jean Harrell, and Louree Clemmons; surviving in-laws, Grover and Betty Stewart, Bailey and Eloise Thaxton and Iris Weldon. Pallbearers are Danny S. Harrison, Ronald P. Taylor, David Owen, Gene McKee, Jack Chenault and Joe Russell. Memorials and donations are requested to be sent to the Louisiana Baptist Children?s Home in Monroe, LA.
