Obituary of Andy Ross

Andy D. Ross, Jr. Shreveport, LA A service for Mr. Andy D. Ross, Jr. will be held at the graveside in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, LA at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Harrison and Mr. Ross?s very best friend, Jake Lord will also speak. Visitation will be Friday, September 09, 2011 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 3903 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, LA. Mr. Ross joined Broadmoor Baptist Church in 1955 and was a Deacon there. He passed away September 5, 2011 in Shreveport. Mr. Ross joined the Marines at the age of 17. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart in WWII. When he came home he married the love of his life, Martha Stout. They were happily married for 65 years. He really enjoyed his 30 years with Tristate Oil Tools, going from Bossier City to Kenai, Alaska, to Aberdeen, Scotland and back. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Martha; two sons, Richard E. Ross and wife Christine and Andy D. Ross, III; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister Eleanor Cotrell, all who will miss him very much.
