Obituary of William Richard Magee

Elm Grove - William Richard Magee, 75, went home to be with his Savior May 11, 2014. He was retired owner of Richard's Floor Service, and honorably discharged Army Veteran. Richard, known, as "Maggie" in high school was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lt. William E. Magee, WWII casualty and Alma Horne Magee, and grandson, John William "Will" Mathews. He is survived by "one hot mama" Sylvia Boucher Magee, wife of 56 years; brother, Bobby Maxey; four children, Richie Magee and girlfriend Dina, Tyree Mathews and husband Mark, Todd Magee and wife Cami, Brian Magee and wife Cashmir; 11 grandchildren, Dillon, Marlon, Will, Luke, Reed, Beau, Christa, Josh, Ben, Montana and Montgomery; and three peculiar sisters, Barbara Hammann, Eileen Boucher and Martha Boucher; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, and honorary pallbearers will be George Johnson and Delane Durham. Chapel services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport. Visitation will be one prior to service time. Burial will be in the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. The family extends appreciation to the Bossier Parish EMS for their compassion during transports and to the medical staff at WK Pierrmont during this trying time. The family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
