MSgt Donald Francis L?Italien USMC Retired Bossier City, LA Donald Francis L?Italien was born September, 19, 1940 in Salem, MA. His parents were Walter L?Italien and Frances Szymanski Birdwell. He entered into rest May 10, 2010 in Shreveport, LA Mr. L?Italien retired from the USMC as a Master Sergeant where he was a drill instructor and worked in postal services. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #5951 and the Elks Lodge. Mr. L?Italien is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ana Limtiaco L?Italien of Bossier City, LA; three children, Donna L?Italien Stegall and husband Joseph of Brookeland, TX, Donald ?Dwayne? L?Italien and wife Missy of Winnie, TX, and Richard Ben L?Italien of Barstow, CA; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Richard L?Italien and wife Rosemary of Chevy Chase, MD and Gerald L?Italien and wife Patricia of Sacamento, CA and several other relatives and friends. A funeral service for Mr. L?Italien will be conducted Friday, May 14, 2010, 12:00 Noon at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Karl Daigle. Interment will follow at the Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
