Obituary of Paul Lloyd Strange

Paul Lloyd Strange, Sr was born on August 23, 1936 to Robert Ernest, Sr and Bettie Camille Strange. He went to be with our Lord on May 12, 2020. 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings: Jessie June Roach, Margaret Lorraine Shoulders, Robert Ernest Strange, Jr, Garland Dean Strange, and Bobby Joe Strange.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Glenda Jean Hammontree Strange, two sons: Paul Lloyd Strange, Jr and wife JoAnna and Claude Howard Mathis II and wife Michelle, and Daughter Constance (Tina) Mathis Helmick and husband Joe. Paul also had nine grandchildren: Bree, Courtney, Bridget, Camille, James, Brooke, Dalton, Vivian and Howie and 3 great-grandchildren: Olivia Grace, Ella Rose and Darren "Ren" Christopher.

Paul was proud of his service in the US Navy. He spent many years in the Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion and the 40 and 8. He had many careers, such as, electrician, law-enforcement, disc jockey, and auctioneer.

Paul was a dedicated Christian and a devoted family man. He voiced his concerns for his family and friends asking that no service be held at this time due to the current medical pandemic. The family will plan a celebration of life memorial service when it is safe for everyone to get together.
