Larri Jan Creekmore was born on October 17, 1957, in Yorktown, VA; and passed away August 6, 2008, in Bossier City, LA. Jan was a very loving mother and grandmother who was most ecstatic when she was around her family. Her favorite pastimes were shopping and garage sales. She always looked for bargains and made her home into a masterpiece. Formerly known as Larri Jan Hinkle, she lived her early life with her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Annella Creekmore in Silsbee, TX, while her father was in the military. After rejoining her family, she graduated in Denver, CO, where she met her first husband, Thomas States; whom she remained very close to. Surviving her are her children: Jamie Capetillo and Juan; Thomas States, II and wife Kristen; Chelsea Biles and husband Robert, Matthew Hinkle; father Larry Gene Creekmore, mother Marion Denney Creekmore Jones; sisters: Paige Kenyon and husband Mitch, Debby Miller, Holly Creekmore; and eight grandchildren. Jan resided in Bossier City for many years where she had a daycare in her home. She loved children. One of her characteristics was her wonderful laugh. She always found a good side to everything. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, on Sunday, August 10, 2008, at 2:00 pm.
