Obituary of Mary Kimsey

Mary Margaret Kimsey Shreveport, LA Mary Margaret Kimsey died December 25, 2009 after a lengthy illness. A service will be held at St. Marks Episcopal Cathedral at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 02, 2010 with Dean Owensby presiding. Entombment will be in St. Marks Cathedral Columbarium. Mrs. Kimsey was born in Ft. Smith, AR and after high school attended William Woods College in Fulton, MO. As an Air Force wife she enjoyed travel and living in four overseas countries and traveled extensively after their retirement. She had a deep interest in the theater and was fond of the Shreveport Little Theater and the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse. Mrs Kimsey is survived by her husband of 67 years, Col. James W. Kimsey, USAF Ret.; two sons, Mark and wife Nancy of Bossier City, LA and James Wayne, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Kimsey was preceded in death by one son, Stephen in1997. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer Association . The family would like to thank staff at The Glen for their care and kindness.
