Houston, TX September 15, 2005 4:41 PM Even among Weathersbys, Uncle Joe was still one of a kind! When we met again after many years, he said to me, "Tell me the story of your life." That is what he was about---living life on his own terms and telling his stories, which were always very interesting and usually very humorous. And who could forget that wonderful accent of his. He had a way of making people feel special, and no matter how bad he felt, he always asked about your family. He will be missed. My condolences to all his family.

Climmie, Ted and Clara sends their love although because of their health they will not be able to be with you. Have Margie Ann share the chicken story Climmie sent her to you. Sounds just like what he would have done.

Bossier City, LA September 10, 2005 9:34 AM My condolences to Joe's family. Joe was the best neighbor I ever had. When we first moved to Mayfair Drive, Joe and I hit it off immediatley. We drank many a cup of coffee togeather in the afteoon and had many discussions about family, local and world issues. Joe made me feel as if I was his daughter. He loved to talk about his family and his times in Smackover and Australia. He even came to my church one time to listen to our choir. I am going to miss Joe really bad, but I know he is walking streets of gold with his wife Margaret at this very moment.
