Obituary of Ruth Mozelle Forbes

Ruth was born and raised in Vivian, Louisiana.  Ruth and her husband Bob lived throughout the United States but most of their adult life in Houston, Texas before returning to Shreveport. 

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Bob, parents Hugh Marcus and Mozelle Gilbert, two brothers Ben Hugh Gilbert and Bobby G. Gilbert. Ruth is survived by her brother Jerry Gilbert, sister-in-law Billie Gilbert and numerous nieces and nephews.

The most special trait of Ruth was she was rarely seen without a smile.  Ruth’s greatest joy was being around her family.

She fought the fight and kept the faith and thankfully her work here is done. She’s been a faithful servant and will reap her reward in Heaven.

Graveside service will be Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:30pm at the Vivian Cemetery.
