Dodie was a very special person who was loved by many. She had a great sense of humor and loved to have a good time. She always made you feel welcome in her home with great food and drink. To Dodie's family,
I am so sorry about your loss of dear Dodie. She was a talented, smart, fun, charismatic lady. First as her client, then as good friends, I chatted with Dodie about many things over the years when I frequented her frame shop, and, later, The Monogram Tree. She shared a lot of life's wisdom with her friends and customers. Her work was impeccable, and her personality, engaging, and I feel certain she is now the "keeper of the cats" in heaven! . . . May your warm memories comfort you in the days and weeks ahead. Please know, I shall miss her greatly.

I knew Dodie for a long time because of her monogram shop, but never really got to know her untl my sister, Janet Lewallen and her became friends. Getting to know her beyond the customer/client relationship was a real blessing. We spent lots of time exchanging cat stories and just laughing and gossiping a little. I never left her shop without a smile on my face and a chuckle later over something funny she had said. What a character she was. She will be greatly missed. But, I know that she was greated with open arms by her Savior, Jesus Christ and I know that she is making him chuckle too!

Dodie and I have been friends for many years and I have so many memories of her and the good times we shared. She was always ready with a great idea on framing a picture, mending a relationship, or just being the joyous presence.
One of her many kind acts was hiring my Aunt Natalie to help her with bookeeping and then, after Nat's health failed and she was forced into retirement, always checking on her and offering her love.
Clay and Susan, she adored you both. To the entire family, I offer my thoughts and prayers and rejoice in her life well lived!
My love,

We were taken by such a beautiful woman, her picture reflected not only her physical beauty but her inner beauty as well.
Bill and I took time and shared a quiet moment in memory for Dodie and her family.
May Dodie continue to shine as brightly in the heavens as she did here on earth.
We will miss her.

I loved Dodi very much. I remember her from when she and my sister had Dodi's frame shop. My sister was Laura Lotspeich. Dodi was always so kind to me and SO much fun to be with and around. I have so many memories of Laura, Dodi and I in the Frame Shop and sometimes we would go out to eat or just hang out. I noticed Calvin's name in the column and I am hoping this is the Calvin I loved so much as well from the Frame Shop. I had heard he was working with Dodi and I hope this is him. My prayers are with the family at this very difficult time God Bless

Dear Susan & Family,
For years and years I took my girls to The Monogram Tree to get them ready for school -- Dodie would kindly help them select their new backpack and she'd let them pick out their design or monogram. She'd carefully monogram their new sweaters every year.
Your mom was a kind and gracious woman. I've always thought she took careful attention to her customers who became her friends.
I know you'll miss her and we will, too.
Love,
Jodi
