Obituary of Ricky Milton Parker
Ricky Milton Parker passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 21st, 2019. Ricky was born November 27th, 1954.
Ricky was a sharp man. Never missed an opportunity to make people laugh with his quick wit and funny one-liners. He worked hard to provide for his family, and made sure they were well taken care of. After a few career shifts from the railroads and truck driving, Ricky spent most of his working years in the oil industry. After a hard day in the field, he enjoyed coming home to a hot meal, ice cold glass of sweet tea, and kicking back in his recliner to watch some TV (or the backs of his eyelids, depending on the day) During his free time, and after retirement, Ricky spent his days fishing, riding on his motorcycle with his brother O. M. and other buddies, working with his son-in-law, playing tug - a - war with his pup Jasper, and spending time with his family.
Ricky was preceded in his death by his father Ovid Melvin Parker, Sr and mother Virginia Juanita Babin Parker, his sisters Shelbia Jean Snyder and Melvia Lee Creamer, and his brother Ovid Melvin Parker Jr. Ricky is survived by his wife Lela Mae Parker, four beautiful children, Kaspian Parker, Charles Richard Humphrey, Virginia Parker, Skylar Parker, his brother Charles Parker and sister Connie Adams, and his grandson Charles Radley Humphrey, among other beloved family members and friends.
