Jack P. Price Blanchard, LA Jack P. Price died June 17, 2010 at home. He was born in Shreveport, LA on November 7th 1925. He was a graduate of Fair Park High School and attended LSU. He was a member of Mangum Memorial Methodist Church, Fair Park Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Free Masonry, El Karubah Temple and the Louisiana Native Plant Society. Jack was preceded in death by his son, James P. Price; daughter, Linda P. Morvan; brothers, Bobby Roy Price and Matt M. Price, Jr.; his father, Matt M. Price, Sr.; mother, Jessie A. Price; and grandson, Paul B. Morvan. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ella P. Price; granddaughter, Amanda M. Lolley; great granddaughters, Katelyn and Megan Lolley; nieces and nephews, Genie Finklea, Rebecca Walker, Randolph Stone II, Brian J. Stone, Reagan Stone, Isabella Stone, Steve Price, Debbie Price and Diane Price; and a host of friends and neighbors. Jack was co-owner of Arms Center, Inc., had a native plant nursery, photographed native plants and shared his knowledge with others on conservation of native plants. Jack had elected to be cremated and a private service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Walter B. Jones Nature Day Camp Fund, Caddo Parish, Caroline Dorman Nature Preserve, Saline, LA or the CCOA Meals on Wheels.
