My dad was a kind generous man. He helped everyone who ever asked for help and even those who didn't ask. He treated all he came into contact with dignity and respect. He helped me when I needed help. When we were children he took us many places where we had picnics and slid down mountains in the snow, played on castle wall, etc. He helped me raise my son and put me through college 100%. For years my mom and him lived on Cane River and we spent weekends playing on jet skis, water skiing, playing in the water, fishing and he would also fry us up a big batch of fish and hushpuppies. I wish I had gotten his hushpuppy and also gravy recipe because I have never known anyone who could make them taste as good. I missed part of his life when someone said something bad about him. I asked them they admitted it didn't happen. It did happen by someone else and they blamed him for some unknown reason. It happens. I wish I had sat down with them years earlier to find out what happened exactly so I would have not missed my family. I love my father and every time I was with him, his phone rang off the hook with people asking him to do things like cut their trees down for them. This happened when he was 78. The 60 year old man had a bad back. People came to the house every day with problems and my dad solved them. He lost his dad when he was a child and I think it caused him to be self suffient and learn how to do everything that anyone would possibly ever need to do. From fixing things that broke at my home, to building at an orphanage with his and other volunteers own financing. Someone came to out house and said they had lost things to a fire. They needed beds. He bought them. He later joined the Red Cross and his job was to help people after fires. People came to the house and asked to borrow things like wheelbarrows. They never brought the things back. Months later, he would just go buy new because he knew they needed one too. He would always grow a small garden and shared the food with everyone. When I was sick in the hospital, he was the one who would always show up, even when the hospital was 6 hours away. He loved my mom very much and always cared for her even when she needed extreme care in her elderly year. He put all his children 100% through college. One of his children graduated in accounting and he passed the CPA exam. Another graduated in business in the area of finance. Two others graduated in the area of education and went on to teach. He put my mother through college also. She went on to teach English, and went to higher levels where she worked around the upper state teaching principals how to make their schools better. He worked until the last days of his life. He was a good father and an all around good person. I miss my dad.

To the family,
When a loved one dies, the pain and the grief is can seem unbearable. May Jehovah
"the Father of tender mercies
and God of all comfort" grant
the family "the peace of God that excels all thoughts" during this difficult time.(2 Corinthians 1:3,4; Philippians 4:7)He says:"He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from
all faces."(Isaiah 25:8; Psalms 83:18; Exodus 6:3,New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)He says:
"Many of them that sleep in the dust of the ground shall awaken."(Daniel 12:2, Holy Bible King James Version)Although the loss of your loved one is painful, you can trust God's promises, here is why:"For no matter how many the promises of God (Jehovah)are,they have become
Yes by means of(by the death of)Jehovah's only-begotten Son, Christ Jesus."(2 Corinthians 1:20; John 10:36;
John 3:18,New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)Yes,"Trust ye the LORD forever. For the LORD Jehovah is everlasting strength."-Isaiah 26:4, Holy Bible King James Version.
