Obituary of Leona Roberts

Leona Miller Roberts, after living 101 years, enriching the lives of those around her, has gone home to her Lord and Savior. She was born on June 23, 1906 and died on September 15, 2007.
Services to celebrate her life will be Tuesday, September 18 at 11:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shreveport with Rev. George Schaetzle officiating. Interment will be in Staunton City Cemetery in Staunton, Illinois.
She has been reunited with her husband of 70 years, Gerald A. Roberts, as well as her parents, two sisters, and three brothers.
Leona is survived by her nieces and nephews, Claire and Don Wooley of Ococonomoc, WI, Richard and Faye Miller of Santa Fe, NM; Lucia and Lew Woods of Sebring, OH; Kitty and Dwain Brobst, Mitzi Hackenberg, and Judy and Bill Causey, all of Shreveport; and John and Marilyn Kleinhans of Roswell, GA and their families.
Pallbearers will be Bill Causey, Chad Causey, Kenny Brobst, Tim Brobst, Zach Brobst, and Ted Dickson. Honorary Pallbearers are Dwain Brobst, Andy Causey, Tyson Hackenberg, Rob Brobst, and Megan Frederick. The family wishes to thank Dr. Alan J. Borne and the staff at The Glen for their devoted care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shreveport, Our Savior Lutheran Church in El Dorado, AR or the charity of your choice.
