Mr. Nolan J. Fontenot passed away July 14, 2007, at his home. He was born on February 16, 1935, in Whitehall, LA.
He was honored Sunday night at Barron Road Baptist Church during their church service.
Mr. Fontenot loved the Lord and his church family. He was a member of the Young Seniors for Christ, sang in the choir for several years, and loved music. Mr. Fontenot was known for sending missionaries' birthday and anniversary cards each and every year all over the world. He was also a huge sports fan, who loved the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
Surviving him is his wife Ruth Fontenot; daughters: Chantel Westfall, Alisha Shoemaker; two step-children: Tammy Baxter, Raymond Dunn, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Mupphett.
