Obituary of Frankie Cassel

A memorial service for Frank "Sonny" Cassel, 70, will be held in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, Tuesday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. The family will be receiving friends from 1-2 p.m. Mr. Cassel was preceded in death by his father and one sister. He is survived by his two children, Tony Cassel and wife Patricia, and Tina Davidson and husband Cleve; mother Winnie Lee Cassel; former wife and the mother of his children, Era Miller; grandchildren: Jeremiah, Kristy, Stephanie, James and John; three great-grandchildren; nephew, Neal Williams; niece, Renee Campbell; a special aunt and uncle, Cecil and Clara Bozeman. Sonny was a truck driver for Matlack Inc. retiring after 23 years. In 1987 he bought his own truck, which he leased to Melton Truck Lines. He was a simple man who loved sitting on his front porch, watching the hummingbirds and having squirrels eat out of his hand. But most of all he was a loving father, son, grandfather, and friend, who will be missed by all that knew him.
