Obituary of Minnie Norene Womack

Funeral services for Norene Womack will be 12:00 PM, Friday, March 30, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home –Shreveport.  Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery West.  Officiating will be Rev. Gary Boswell of Westview Christian Church. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, two hours prior to the service time. 

Norene was born May, 24, 1932 in Yarnell, Texas and passed away peacefully on March 28, 2018 in Shreveport. During her working years, she enjoyed taking care of others as a nurse.  Most of all, she loved taking care of her family.  The Holidays were her favorite time of the year, as she loved her family getting together and surrounding her with their laughter and love. Everyone will remember her witty sense of humor, and was always full of surprises.  She was a faithful friend and neighbor to all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her favorite pastimes were fishing with her sisters and children, working in her garden, cooking for her family, and spoiling her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Waiting for Norene in Heaven is her husband, Ray Womack, grandson, Todd Womack, and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other family members.  Left to cherish many precious memories are her children, Ricky Womack and wife Leta, Terry Womack and wife Rhonda, Linda Smith and Danny Farmer, and Sharon Robertson and Todd Dunn; grandchildren, Kera Wheeler, Kellie Paddie, Josh Womack, Brett Smith, and Lauren Robertson; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Greene, Chelsea Henderson, Kali Henderson, Caden Wheeler, Tyler Womack, Baylee Womack, Carson Paddie, Cayle Wheeler, Caige Wheeler, Kamarah Evans, Amaya Benefield, Natalia Womack, T. J. Smith, Hallie McNease, Julz Womack, and future great-great grandchild.   

Honoring Norene as pallbearers are Bobby Johnson, Randall Wilkerson, Winston Whiddon, Calvin Whiddon, Randy Wilkerson, and Caden Wheeler. 

Norene touched many lives and she will be greatly missed.
