Bossier City, LA Joseph Charles Ezernack, 64, of Bossier City, LA passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. Services will be held, Friday, October 12, 2012, 10:00 AM at Boone Funeral Home Chapel, Bossier City, LA. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Glorioso. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, October 11, at the funeral home. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM. Charles was born April 25, 1948 in Zwolle, LA, to Juanita and Monroe Ezernack. He was a soldier in the US Army who served his country proudly and valiantly in the Vietnam War and earned the Purple Heart as well as other accolades. Charles loved his family deeply and was an inspiration to all who knew him. Left to cherish memories of Charles are his wife of 44 years, Johnnie; son, Samuel; daughters, Tracy Bernhagen and Tara Fuller; sisters, Mary Ann Lopez, Betty Gail Hussey, Freda (Faye) Stevens, Rhonda Smith and Kaye Stevens; brothers, Dennis, Emmitt, Steve, Monroe (Buster) and Kenny. Charles was blessed by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the Willis-Knighton North 4 West Staff for their care.
