Obituary of Nezy Williams

Shreveport, LA- Nezy Mae Grabener Williams was born September 14, 1920 in Sieper, LA to Julius Rudolph Grabener, and Mary Brown Grabener. She passed away December 10, 2007 in Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at the Boone Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Allen of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Victory Chapter No. 130, Order Of The Eastern Star, and Bethel Shrine No. 2, and The Order Of The White Shrine of Jerusalem.
The Salvation Army presented the 1955 Woman of the Year award to Mrs. Williams, in recognition of her Christian influence and unselfish devotion to duty as manifested in the cause of the Home League. Her work for charitable causes continued throughout her life. Nezy worked for many years in Shreveport as a homecare companion and formed many lovely friendships.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents and husband Marvin Williams; sons Ronald Edward Williams and Roger Dale Williams, brothers; Conley Grabener and Henry Grabener and sister Janie Grabener Ellis.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Shirlee Williams Hewitt of San Diego CA, and son Marvin Randall Williams and wife Peggy Robertson Williams of Hickory Creek, TX. Grandchildren John Rendon and Diana Denise Rendon both of San Diego, CA, Ronald Williams Jr. of Collingswood, NJ, Randall Williams of Hickory Creek, TX and Ryan Williams of Chicago, IL and two great grandchildren, Adriana Noel Rendon-Miranda, and Ronald Edward Williams III.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Randall Williams Jr., John F. Rendon, Ryan Williams, Johnnie Lewis, Ronald Williams Jr., and Henry Grabener Jr.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Manor South Nursing Home and Lifepath Hospice for their loving care.
