Haughton, LA?Mrs. Etta Marie Slack was born January 28, 1933 in McNeil, AR to J. C. and Leatha Styles Coburn. She passed from this life at her home on October 13, 2008 at the age of 75.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2008 at 3:00pm at Pease Chapel Assembly of God, Bellevue Road in Haughton with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Haughton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the church from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Friday.
Mrs. Slack is survived by her children, Robert Weldon and wife Helen of Stonewall, MS, Kathy King and husband Phil of Caddo Mills, TX, and Joyce Green and husband Wayne of Haughton, LA; Grandchildren, Chris Weldon and wife Crystal of Castor, LA, Glenn Weldon of Castor, LA, Brent King and wife Heather of Caddo Mills, TX, Keri Summers and husband Cory of Caddo Mills, TX, Brandi Weldon, David Doxey and wife Frances of Haughton, LA, Jerry Doxey of Haughton, LA, and Tiffany Roberts and husband Brett of Haughton, LA; Great-grandchildren, Cameron, Lexis, Daisy, Trinity, Josie, Jackson, Miracle, Bryce, Jodie, and MacKayla; siblings, Reggie Coburn and wife Pauline of Keithville, LA, Junior Coburn and wife Betty of Haughton, LA, and Chloe McCrary and husband Pat of Carthage, TX; 7 nieces and 5 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. and Leatha Coburn; brothers, Earl and Ray Coburn; and daughter, Cindy Doxey.
