Services for Christina Tolbird will be held in the chapel of Louisiana Funeral Care, 3903 Meriwether Rd.,Shreveport, on Monday, August 11, 2008, at 11:30 AM. Officiating the service will be their cousin, Rev. Ruth Finley. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park Cemetery West. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6:30-8:30 PM.
Mrs. Tolbird passed away August 7, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer?s. She was born on July 1, 1924, in Brinkley, AR,to Homer and Annie Mae Muse, who precede her in death. Christina retired as a school bus driver for Caddo Parish. She was a member of First Baptist Church,Greenwood. Christina enjoyed gospel music, especially Karen Peck and New River. She and her daughter traveled to many concerts together.
Preceding her in death is her husband James; and a sister Eloise. Surviving her are her children: Steve, Judy, Debbie; grandchildren: John, Jimmy, Stacy; great grandchildren: Christopher,Krystin, and a host of friends.
