Obituary of Lillian Richmond

HOUSTON, TEXAS—Lillian Oden Richmond died on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 in Houston, Texas following a long illness. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the Boone Funeral Home in Shreveport. Graveside services will be held at12:00 noon on Monday, July 16, 2007 at Mount Zion Cemetery in DeBerry, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Bill Stowell. Lillian was born November 15, 1915 in Bethany, Louisiana to Ruby Brumble and Sol Hardman Oden. She graduated from Greenwood High School. She worked as a secretary for the Boy Scouts of America for 25 years, and after retiring became an accomplished water color and oil painter of landscapes and portraits. She lived the last several years of her life close to her daughter's family in the Katy, Texas area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Richmond; her parents; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sister, Mittie Bryan of Shreveport; her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bob Lee, of Katy, Texas; her grand-daughter and her husband, Lauren and Chris Bednar and their son Matthew of Houston, Texas; her grandson and his wife, Christopher and Heather Lee and their daughter, Dorothy of Katy, Texas; her grandson, David Lee and his daughter, Hannah Lee, of Katy, Texas.
