Charlene P. Mohler, 67, of Bossier City, Louisiana was delivered to the Lord on June 18, 2015. Charlene was born in August of 1947 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Charles Prater and Mabel (Hargrove) Prater, who preceded her in death. On November 26, 1985 she married Stephen (Doug) Mohler, who survives in Bossier City, Louisiana. Charlene loved life and loved those aquaintances she made on the way through her life. She had a strong affinity for the real landscapes that surround us and for the people who populate them. She had a natural knack for making people instantly at ease, stranger or friend. During her lifetime, she operated successful businesses derived from the natural elements, gaining satisfaction at earning a living from the earth, while at the same time caring for it with gentle hands. During retirement she found great pleasure in caring for her garden and landscaping at home and spending quiet hours Charlene is survived two sons: Bill Davis of Dothan, Alabama and David Lyons of St. Petersburg, Florida; one sister: Peggy Murdock of Bossier City, LA; three brothers: Wayne Prater and Sonny Prater of Montgomery, Alabama, Philip Prater of Gulfport, Mississippi and three grandchildren: Katie Davis, Paxton and Byrn Lyons. A memorial service will be performed at the Airline Baptist Church, 4007 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana at 1:00 P.M. on June 24, 2015 with Harrell Shelton officiating.
