Obituary of Dorothy Smiley Cabre

Funeral services for Dorothy will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2015 at Red River Baptist Church in Benton, LA. Interment will follow in Red River Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Pierce. The family will receive friends between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 22nd and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 23rd. Dorothy went to be with her Savior on April 21, 2015. She spent her life serving The Lord Jesus Christ, her family, and her church. She was an active member of Red River Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing quilts for members of her family, nursing home residents, and friends. She loved to sew and crochet. She loved to fish with her family. As a hair stylist, she had the chance to meet many people. Everyone she came in contact with loved her, as she never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Cabre; son, Kenneth J. Burrow; and sister, Louise Dilts. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Ronald Burrow and wife Leslie, Jerald Burrow; grandchildren, Kimberly Williams, Kenneth Burrow, Jr., Randy White, Ronald Burrow, Rhonda Burchard, Shannon Pratt, Troy Burrow; she was blessed with many great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie, Jenny, and Geneva; brothers, Jessie, Muriel, and Wayne; other family members and loving friends. The family finds comfort in knowing that Dorothy is now in the arms of her Loving Father. She will be greatly missed by everyone that had the honor of knowing her.
