Shreveport, LA - Services for Thomas Martin ?Tommy? Hobbs, 53, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hobbs was born June 18, 1958, in Mobile, Ala, and raised in Bastrop, Pine Bluff, Ark., Natchez, Miss., and Springhill before returning to Mobile where he graduated from Davidson High School. He had lived in Shreveport for the last 20 years. He was known for his laid back attitude, his love of NASCAR, and was a renowned aviation mechanic, a licensed pilot in his early years and an avid Harley-Davidson rider.
He is survived by his mother, Sally Wilkinson Hobbs of Orange Beach, Ala.; his longtime companion Cindy ?Shorty? Onni of Shreveport; two brothers, Scooter Hobbs of Lake Charles and Larry Hobbs of Brunswick, Ga.; one sister, Ann Hobbs Kelly of Baton Rouge; three nephews, Lee Kelly, Justin Kelly and Ken Hobbs; two nieces, Elizabeth Ann Fourrier and Jennifer Hobbs; one stepdaughter, Dina Burnley of Southhaven, Miss., and her children, Kaitlin and Madigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Hobbs.
The family asks that memorials go to the American Heart Association.
