Claude Cox was born September 14, 1932 in Natchitoches, La., son of Pearl Brown Cox and Felix Cox. He's mother passed away when he was a young boy and his father later married Eather Grabener Cox whom raised him and became the only loving mother he ever knew. He died peacefully of natural causes while sleeping at his home in the early morning of November 28, 2017. He is survied by his children, Claudette Hewitt and Dale Cox. He was the proud Grandfather of five Grandchildren, Jason Wade Rogers, Nancy Barron Mason, Jonathan E. Cox, Caleb Cox, and Noah Cox. He often commented on how happy he was that he had lived long enough to know and have relationships with all his amazing Great-Grandchildren, Chase Wade Rogers, Trinity, Hannah, Macie, Danica Falcon, Jagger Mason and Kaylyn Cox. He was also survied by three siblings, Carl Cox, Helen Smith and Jewel Craig. He had a versital career path, from Ship Building Foreman in San Diego, Cal., to Custom Cabinet Owner- Builder in Shreveport and then to working as a Flooring Mechanic until he retired at a young age of 79 years old. All of us who knew and loved him know that he had a colorful past and way with words. He loved telling stories of his youth and all the memories he had to his Grand and Great-Grand Children and they loved hearing and laughing at his experiences. "YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?"
