Converse, LA.--Funeral services for Mr. John R. McCaskill 61, of Converse will be held Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 2 pm at Henrietta Congregational Methodist Church, Converse, La. with Rev. Charles Clark, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Cassel Cemetery in Converse.
Mr. McCaskill, served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He was born September 2, 1945 in Port Arthur, TX and passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007 after a sudden illness. Johnny was a friend to everyone he met and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a self-employed Handy Man and an avid gardener.
John was preceded in death by his Father, Frank J. McCaskill. He is survived by his mother, Maggie Price McCaskill; sister, Alice Hernandez and husband, Jessie, of Fort Worth, TX; and three nephews, Lance, Eric and Lee Hernandez.
