Unca BobMy uncle, Bobby Ray Forbes was a gentle, quiet man. As a child I remember him as a friendly, funny young man that carried me on his shoulders. He was very talented, he sang in the church chior as a young man and in the Army Choraliers in Germany, for our troops, he liked to whistle a tune when he did yard work. His artistic flair was for pencil and chalk sketching. He was very good. He liked to whittle pieces of wood into characters. He liked working with plants in his yard, a greenthumb for taking cuttings and planting them. He enjoyed making bread, all of his bread recipes were delicious. He was always interested learning more about our family's history and took great solice in reading his Bible (his father's Bible). The many notes and dates penciled in the margins of its pages provide insight to his character. I hope for my Aunt Ruth, peace, in knowing he no longer suffers. Debra Buster (Houston, TX)
