I read my Grandpa's obituary this morning sitting at my desk at work after reading a text from Mama that said it was ready. I haven't slowed down enough to realize the impact that him being gone would have on my life. I am fortunate enough to have so many memories of him from when I was his "baby girl", not one of them is bad, not one. He was, in my eyes, a great man. Now that he is gone, I find myself remembering things that he tried to tell me growing up as a teenager when we would visit in New Orleans ( or Harvey or Gretna, depending on where he and Grandma Terry were at the time) and wish I would have listened more. I will now because it is never too late to follow good advice. Not to mention that he told me he would get his belt after me if I didn't (LOL) and yes, I am a grown woman but he told me, not so very long ago, that he would do just that! I will miss him terribly, he was only just getting to know my own grandchildren. I will rest assured that he is suffering no more and that he is with the ones that have gone before us. Rest in peace, I love you
