Betty Jo Foerster Martin, 87, of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on April 2, 2014 from Alzheimer's disease and heart failure.
The memorial service will be held at 3:00 - 4:00 pm on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Church at Red River. Dennis Austin of Church at Red River will be officiating. Family visitation will be held at 2:00 - 3:00 pm immediately prior to the memorial service. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, Louisiana.
Betty was born in Franklinton, Louisiana on November 20, 1926. Betty was married to Kenneth Martin. They were married 40 years.
Betty is survived by Pam and Rick Tully, Jamie and Joey Palmer and their children, Trinity, Liberty, Maddox, and Callie; Rebecca and David Basile and their children Indigo and Bastian; Ashley Sullivan, and Julie Tully. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Darlene Allen, Steven Foerster, Julie Mobley, John Foerster, Carolyn Foerster Thompson, Thomas Foerster, and Mark Foerster.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Martin, daughter, Elizabeth Martin, and brothers, John Foerster and George Foerster.
Flowers may be sent to Church at Red River (230 Flournoy Lucas Rd, Shreveport, LA 71106) In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Church at Red River for missions.
