Services for Mrs. Dorothy W. Taylor, age 80, will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Eastwood Baptist Church in Haughton, LA with Dr. Scott Teutsch officiating. Interment will be at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. Mrs. Taylor, born June 15, 1929 passed away on November 2, 2009, at Grace Home in Shreveport. She was a resident of Elm Grove for the past thirty nine years. She was a Baptist. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Alma Woodall, by her brother-in-law and sister, Vernon and Odell Woodard, and by a grandson, Travis Cory Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Taylor, Sr. of Elm Grove; three sons, Jack Taylor and wife Donna of Bossier City, Paul Taylor and wife Rhonda of Doyline, Jeff Taylor and wife Anna of Doyline; daughter, Vicki Ragsdale and husband Mike of Elm Grove. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Amanda, Jonathan, Lesley, Matthew, and Dustin Taylor, Ashley and Bobby Bowden; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Dylan, and Emily. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Grace Home and Supra Home Health Care for their excellent care. The family would also like to thank Dr. Sanjay Shah, Dr. Manapragada and Dr. Velevolu. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Grace Home or a charity of your choice.
