Obituary of Martha Colvin

Martha Colvin, age 65, passed away last Sunday after an extended illness. She was a long-time resident of Bossier City. Martha was predeceased by her parents, Monty and Gladys Colvin, and sisters Latressa Kelley and Sally Kemps. Survivors include sisters and brother Carolyn Colvin and friend Kathy Pearson, Ann Kurtz and husband Tom, and Steve Colvin and wife Frances Johnson. There will be a memorial service for Martha to be announced later. The family would like to thank Martha's wonderful neighbors, Cookie Avery, Mary Ann Giovengo, and Betty Young, her dedicated and loving caregiver Julia Gilkey, and the staff at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center, Magnolia Manor, and Lifepath Hospice for their part in making Martha's last years safe and comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Metastatic Breast Cancer Network (mbcn.org) or the American Cancer Society.
