Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Robertson

Margaret Elizabeth Robertson, 79, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on November 1, 2015. Graveside services will be held at NWLA Veteran's Cemetery 7970 Mike Clark Rd, Keithville, LA at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boone Funeral Home in Shreveport. Margaret was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, December 18, 1935. She graduated from Oklahoma State University. Margaret was married to Colonel Glenn "Larry" Robertson, (Ret), on June 23, 1956; they were married for 59 years. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting, collecting antiques and traveling with Larry. She was a proud member of the P.E.O. and numerous military wives groups. Margaret is survived by daughter Linda Robinson and fiance' Jonathan Solberg; son, Glenn and wife Amy; four grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Logan and Katelyn; one great-grandchild, Izabel; sister-in-law Gayle Schafer and husband James; niece Kelly; nephew, Mark; special cousin, Tom and Phyllis Mamie and Karen Sue Harding; and numerous well thought of friends from the "Dinner Group". Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Larry and her parents, Ruth and Mac McGuire. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice.
