I was looking forward to seeing Roye at our 20th reuinion. He will be missed. So many of my childhood memories were things that I done with Roye. We met in the 4th grade when I moved to Espanita. I haven't seen Roye in a long time, though he crosses my mind often. He will be greatly missed. Roye was also amazing at his job. The way he handled horses saved many a rider and horse from serious injury. Roy and I went to school together for what seemed like forever. I still have a note somewhere in my possession from him scrawled in fifth grade writing. I was hoping to see him at the reunion scheduled for the class of '86 this year. I send my prayers out to his family. I had not kept in touch with Roye or even seen him in years, but I will always remember his smile and his friendship. Please know that many people are praying for your comfort. He was such a wonderful and caring person. Always with a smile everytime I saw or spoke to him. I wish I would have went to Florida to see him and January like he asked!
