Funeral services for Margaret Ann Anderson will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 2, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport. Interment will follow in Ajax Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Terry McCormick of Shreveport First Seventh Day Adventist Church. Margaret was born March 10, 1934 in Coushatta, LA to parents Ethel and Ancel Byrd. She retired from South Central Bell in 1989 after working 31 years in the Comptrollers Department. She loved traveling, attending, and being active in her church. Later in life, when she couldn't travel as much, she stayed in touch with family and friends through social media on her tablet. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Ancel Byrd; sisters, Bobbie Ratcliff, and Barbara Denham; brothers, Wayne and Jack Byrd; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Anderson. She is survived by husband, David Huey Anderson; two sons, Kevin Anderson of Houston, TX and Keith Anderson of Shreveport, LA; three grandchildren, Amber Stephens of Spring, TX, Misty Carrington of Shreveport, LA, and David Ryan Anderson of Houston, TX; six great-grandchildren, Trey, Nathan,and Lacey Stephens of Spring, TX, Killian Martin of Campti, LA, Abigail Shelby Carrington of Forest Hill, LA; sister, Beatrice Harper and husband Ed of Houston, TX; brother, John Byrd and wife Yvonne Byrd of Shreveport, LA; special family Casey Carrington and wife Robyn and their daughters, Madeline and Paige Carrington of Forest Hill, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a loving and caring individual, who always put other's needs before her own. She loved taking care of her family, and they miss her.
