Obituary of Jovena T. Larned

Bossier City-Memorial services for Jovena T. Larned will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier. At 1:30 PM of the same day, Jo will be interred at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. At 3:30 PM a reception for Jo will be held at VFW Post 5951 on Northgate Drive, Bossier City. Jo was born in Philippines in 1938 and passed away in Shreveport in 2016. Jo met the love of her life, Rick when he was stationed in the Philippines. They married in 1964 and they took a giant leap and came to England AFB in Alexandria, Louisiana to start their family. She was a fantastic Mother, loving wife, excellent seamstress, and wonderful cook. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo, Blackjack and Majong. Jo was preceded in death by her parents Maria and Paulino Tenedero. She is survived by her husband of 53 years , Richard Larned; children, Joan Larned-Eadie, William Larned, Nancy Larned, and Paul Larned; grandchildren, Danielle Larned, Aaron Larned, Keegan Cody, Morgan Eadie, Ayden Larned, Cade Larned, Cloe Larned, Corbin Larned, Rayven Larned, and Raylan Larned; one great-grandchild, Braydon; sister, Mistring, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jo was a brave, caring and giving person that always took care of everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of being in her life.
