Obituary of Charles Wiley

Charles Landry Wiley went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. He was born on March 14, 1934 in Jonesville, LA. He grew up in Delhi, LA and graduated from LA Tech with a B.S. in chemistry. After meeting his future wife, Jo Ann Durrett at LA Tech, they married. He served three years in the U.S. Army and settled in Blanchard where he worked for UOP as a chemist until his retirement in 1986. Charles is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jo Ann Durrett Wiley; children Charlotte Bass and husband Larry, Keegan Wiley and wife Terrie; grandchildren Rachel Fultz and husband Jeff, Mitch Dunham and wife Chasity, Ryan Marlowe, Nathan Bass and wife Jessica, Matthew Marlowe, Jared Wiley, and Mary Katherine Wiley; great-grandchildren Landry Fultz, Parker Dunham, and Rowan Wiley; sisters Vera Harvey, Beverly Levie and husband Bill, numerous beloved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mitch Dunham, Ryan Marlowe, Nathan Bass, Matt Marlowe, Jared Wiley, Jeff Fultz, and Jonathan Lowry. Charles loved the Lord, his wife, and family. He was a genuinely compassionate and caring person who will be truly missed by all. Services will be held at 2:00 PM at Trinity Heights Baptist Church with visitation starting at 1:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2012.
