Obituary of Andrew David Henry
Andrew David Henry was called home to the arms of the Lord on November 26, 2018. He was 65 years old and a lifelong resident of the area. David was known to all he met for his big heart and even bigger hugs, for his warmth and capacity to love. By those blessed enough to have been loved by him, he will be remembered for the remarkable way he had of making you feel like the most special, most important person in the world when you were with him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, George Hilton Henry and Cecille Marshall Henry, and his beloved son, Justin Lee Henry.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 33 years, Janice Leigh Henry. Their love story began at first sight and only grew deeper and sweeter for more than three decades. David was adored by his four surviving children, Kelli Alamond Cogburn, Melissa Katherine Henry, Crystal Leigh Bartlett and Matthew David Henry.
He will be missed by his sons-in-law Billy Bartlett, Robert Alamond and Marc Cogburn; daughters-in-law Chelsea Solice Henry and Renee Bishop Henry; 12 beautiful grandchildren Kyler, Kaleb, Kaleigh, Kayla, Kirstyn, Karadyn, Julian, Kross, Kaidan, MaKenzie, Kiyah, and Sophia, and one great-grandchild Austin Parker.
He is also survived by siblings Michael Lee Henry, Carol Jane Greening and Georganna Diane Gillean, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
For David, strangers quickly became friends, and friends truly became family. He leaves behind a few special friends, in particular, who meant the world to him and had become like brothers.
Andrew David Henry was a man devoted to faith, family, and friends. He was warm, kind, loving and so very loved. He will be missed beyond measure.
