Obituary of Gwynne Diaz

Bossier City—Mrs. Gwynne Diaz went to Heaven on Thursday, October 30, 2008. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 3rd at 2pm at Boone Funeral Home with interment to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Hwy 80 East in Haughton. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 2nd, from 4-6pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Diaz was born October 7, 1924 in Millersburg, Missouri. She was preceded by her loving husband of 40 years, CMSgt. Dominic Diaz. Mrs. Diaz was a devoted with and homemaker who loved to travel with her friends. She was a member of First Baptist Bossier, an active volunteer for Sister Margaret's Charities, and a long time member of the Air Force Sergeants Association Wives Auxiliary. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Horn of Bossier City, Michelle Donner and husband Larry of Shreveport, and Stephannie Austin of Bethany; grandchildren, Meagan O'Quinn and husband Justin, Adrienne Horn, Piper Sessions and husband Drew, Michael Donner, Dominic Austin, Danielle Meshell and husband Billy, Gabriel Austin and wife Amber, and many great-grandchildren. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of The Terrace in Bossier City for their loving and devoted care. "Meema" will always be remembered for her beautiful, sweet spirit she always had, and the love she brought to her family and friends over the years. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and every life she touched. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that any memorials be given to the Shreveport/Bossier Rescue Mission.
