It was so hard to believe that Ben Hogan was there about 10 days later. You are in our prayers!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rene Braud Houston, TX March 23, 2006 8:25 PM David Dement was the kindest, most loving person I have ever been blessed to know and love. I first met David when we were in 3rd grade at the Bolero East Bowling alley in Shreveport. For 45 years, he was my life long friend and in high school, my best friend. He called me 'sis' and I called him 'bro'. He was also best man at my wedding to Terry Dunlap in 1972. David called me on my birthday every year throughout our lives and I will miss him so much. I will miss that wonderful voice calling me at some early or late hour on my birthday every year to sing a Marilyn Monroe version of "Happy Birthday Mr. President" and substitute my name for Mr. President. My thoughts and prayers are with you George and Sunshine and the whole family. I loved your son so very much. DAVID WAS SIMPLY UNFORGETTABLE! David: don't forget to call me on my birthday. I love you always, Rene ---------------------------
