Bossier City, LA - Graveside services for Phyllis M. Barnett will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Rose Neath Cemetery, Swan Lake Rd, Bossier City. Following the graveside service a Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 290 Idema Street, Shreveport. Officiating will be Pastor Perry Culver of Christ Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Friday, May 11, 2012.
Phyllis M. Barnett went to be with her Lord May 8, 2012. Phyllis was born on August 2, 1931 in Effingham, IL and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Shreveport, LA and a long time member of Redemeer Lutheran Church.
She was proceded in death by her parents, Trobia and Gladys Shadwell, and sisters Imogene and Emogene Shadwell of Effingham, IL. She is survived by her husband J.C. Barnett; two children, David Barnett and wife Becki of Piperton, TN, Peggy Bamburg and husband Bruce of Bossier City, LA; two grandchildren, Bryan and Allison Barnett of Memphis, TN; brother, Duane and wife Joyce Shadwell of Effingham, IL; and sister Sylvia Ladage of Springfield, IL.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Barnett, Marvin Kendrick, Richard Johnson, Bernie Conradi and Mack McKinley. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Lee, Bill Crowley and Lewis Wiist.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
