Obituary of Dorothy L. Davis

Funeral services for Dorothy will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier. Graveside services will be 4:30 PM, Sunday at Briarwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home. Anyone that had the honor of knowing Dorothy knew that her family always came first. Her time was spent cooking for them and enjoying watching them eat her creations. If the weather permitted she was outside either fishing or telling her family what to do in her flower garden. When LSU or Saints were playing she was in front of the TV cheering them to victory. When she got her Kindle, she discovered Facebook and enjoyed keeping up with what her family was doing. Preceding Dorothy in death is her husband, Tom Davis; son, Ricky Council; siblings, Buster Council, Wesley Council, Doris Huddleston, Billie Faye Blakeney, Buddy Council and Charles Council. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter-in-law, Robbin Council; grandchildren, Tim Council and wife Ashley, Darla Council, Rebekah Ashby, Eric Council, and Jon Council; great-grandchildren, Ricky Council, and Tyler Thornton; siblings, Oscar Ray Council and wife Dianne, Norma Waldrop, Glenn and wife Vickie; and host of nieces and nephews…which one was her favorite? Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie West, Terry Garner, Chris West, Clay Smith, Cody Bedgood, Zack Bedgood. Future generations will never know what they missed when Dorothy was in her kitchen creating.
