Mattie was born to Alvin and Bessie Alexander on May 30, 1924 in Chester, Texas, and passed away peacefully on September 25, 2014. She married David H. Paul and spent her career as a teacher.
As per her choice, Mattie was cremated and her cremains were interred at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
