Obituary of Ann Neill

Shreveport, LA Funeral services for Ann Neill, age 82, will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009, 2:30 P.M. at the graveside in Centuries Memorial Park with Mr. Ray Boswell officiating. Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 23, 2009 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care, Shreveport, LA. Ann grew up in Monroe, LA and moved to Shreveport where she has lived for more than 60 years. She retired from the State Welfare Dept. after 30 years of service. After retirement she worked for Dr. W. A. McBride for a number of years. As a hobby she loved to play Bridge and visit with friends. Ann is preceded in death by her husband Ross C. Neill, Jr.. She is survived by her three children, Scott Neill and wife April of Ault, CO, Trey Neill and wife Julie of Maryville, CA, and Kathryn Gaines and husband Doug of Shreveport, LA; brother, Frank Buckley and wife Cecile of San Antonio, TX; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several other relatives and friends. The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Deirdre Barfield and the Grace Home Staff for their care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Christus Schumpert Grace Home, Shreveport, LA.
