Obituary of Retus "Dick" Williams

Dick (Pappy) Williams was born on November 7, 1919 and passed into the arms of the Lord on April 4, 2019. He was born to Johnnie Mitchell Williams and Jenny Turner Williams in Beckville, TX.

During hard times like most young boys, Dick entered Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at the age of 16.  He joined the Navy and proudly served his country during WWII.  Prior to his military service, he met and married the love of his life Lillie Annette Ramsey.  They enjoyed 62 years together and laid the foundation for many generations. 

Preceding Dick in death is his wife, parents, and five siblings.  Left to cherish many wonderful memories are children, Jerry M. Williams, Sr. and wife Jean, and Reeta Lanette Carpenter and husband Jim.

Grandchildren, Jerry M. Williams, Jr., Brian A. Harris, Jody K. Williams and wife Tammy, and Craig J. Harris and wife Gina.

Great-grandchildren, Kyle M. Williams and wife Jennifer;  Haylee Williams, Taylor Williams, Kadee Williams, AIC Jacob Williams and wife Stevie, Lily Williams and Hutton Harris. Great-great-grandchildren, Piper, Kinley, Braxton, Madeline and Layla. 

Funeral services for Dick will be 2:00 PM, Friday, April 5, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, TX.

Dick lived a life of courage, honor and dignity.  His legacy will continue now and for many generations.
