Mariita Campillo Munn left this world surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to be with Jesus Christ, our Lord in Heaven. Mrs. Munn was born on August 21, 1924 in San Turce, Puerto Rico, the eldest daughter of Enrique Campillo-Abrams and Maria Delgado.
She was married to the late Sardis Lee Munn on June 2, 1950. They moved to Shreveport in 1959 and Bossier City in 1966. She retired from the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in 1980, where she worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Social Work Services.
She is survived by her 3 children: Kathleen Carmen Munn Smith, Eileen Munn McDaniel and spouse David, and Gerald (Gerry) Lee Munn and spouse Diane; seven grandchildren: David Lee McDaniel, Carmen Marie Munn Gray, Sara Elissa Berks, Maria Eileen McDaniel, Mariita Michelle Munn Huitt, Jennifer Berks Laganiere, and Nicholas Lee Munn; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sardis Lee Munn and sister Aidita Campillo McDonald.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, November 29, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA. There will be a Rosary held at 10:30 am, followed by a service to begin at 11:00 am Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Monsignor Earl Provenza.
