Haughton, LA - Luther Wood passed away April 26, 2014 at his home with his family by his side after a long courageous battle with Cholangiocarcinoma. L. J. was born in Texarkana, TX on June 4, 1954 to Joe B. and Vallie Mae Wood. Prior to his retirement, he was well known as a faithful and hard-working supervisor at Integrated Power Services. He truly made a difference in the lives of everyone he was around. Most of all L. J. was known as a loving husband, daddy, pawpaw, and friend. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and two sisters. Left to cherish his memory is best friend, love of his life, and wife of 36 years, Beverly Wood; son, Clayton Wood; daughters, Becca Webster and husband Brad, Michelle Rose and husband Steven; grandchildren, Konner Wood, his little buddy, and Payton and Haley Rose; sister Lena Disotell and husband Bobby; and brother-in-laws, Wayne and Larry Craig and their families. The family will hold a private service following cremation. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Cholangiocaroinoma Cancer Foundation. The family would like to express their appreciation to his boss and friend, Mike Renfro, all coworkers and friends at IPS, and the doctors and nurses that cared for him. "My darling you are my hero and I am blessed to say In This Life I was Love By You." Rest in Peace my Love. We will be together someday.
