Services for Janie Marie A. Coleman, age 74, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Boone Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Coleman passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 07, 2008. She was born January 20, 1934 in Carrolton County, MS. She loved Elvis and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia was a favorite hobby. Her family was her life, and she was the life of her family, she was their best friend. She left a legacy of love that will live on in her family. Mrs. Coleman was a true Christian woman who will be missed by all who knew her, even her dog "Angel."
Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her parents; S.T. and Mildred Armstrong, one brother; John Oscar Milam, and two brother-in-laws; John Stigler and Wayne Coleman. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Phillip Coleman, three sons; Joey Armstrong, Sam Coleman and wife Beverly, William M. Coleman and wife Bridgette, two daughters; Marlene Garrard and husband James, Kimberly Coleman, ten grandchildren; Nicole Coleman, James Garrard Jr., Jessica Coleman, Amanda Coleman, Phillip Martinez, Brittney Coleman, Jarrod Armstrong, Janie Garrard, Samuel Armstrong, Nathaniel Armstrong, two sisters: Willie Stigler-Curry, Gwen Jordan and a host of nieces and nephews.
"She was an angel on earth and now is an angel in heaven."
