Plain Dealing, LA- Bonnie Ray Rhodes 74, went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2012. He was born on May 25, 1938 to William ?Grady? and Bessie Marie Johnson Rhodes in Bossier Parish. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30th from 5-7pm at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 31st at 2:00pm in the Boone Funeral Home Chapel. Bonnie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers W.G., Louis and Kenneth Rhodes; sister, Verna Douglas; and granddaughter Katie Shockley. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon of 25 years; children Allen Ray and wife Lauren Rhodes, Melissa Rhodes Miles and husband Kevin, Dana Huster Sims and husband Carl, Beth Huster Duperron and her husband Wayne; brother Buck Rhodes and wife Dorothy; sister Ann Rhodes Lewis and husband Marvin; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie served in the Army. He retired from the Bossier Parish Sheriff?s office; he loved his time as a Deputy and always said the best part was working to help people. He was loved for his wonderful personality. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Willis Knighton Hospice of Shreveport, Chaplain Dana Casey, Nurse Stephanie and CNA Cynthia for all of their love and kindness towards Bonnie during the past months.
