Obituary of Ralph Garrett

Shreveport, LA Ralph Garrett, Jr. was born December 27, 1930 in Caddo, OK. He went to be with his Lord February 24, 2012 in Shreveport, LA . He served in the Army from 1952 until 1954 working in missile guidance. After the military he worked for South Central Bell until retiring as a PBX installer.
Mr. Garrett was a faithful member of Summer Grove Baptist Church and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
A funeral service for Mr. Garrett will be conducted at Summer Grove Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA, Tuesday, February 28, 2012, 10:30 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Murry Hodge assisted by Bro. Billy Crosby. Interment will follow at the Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, February 27, 2012, from 6 PM until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA.
Preceding Mr. Garrett in death was his parents Martha Kennedy and Ralph Garrett, Sr. and a brother, Jerry Maston. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Dottie Allen Garrett; one daughter, Patti Garrett Bain; one son David Keith Garrett and wife Lea Ann; three grandchildren, Holly Bain Free, Jeremy Garrett and Jacob Allen Bain; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Margie Hargis; two brothers, Harold Garrett and wife Betty and Wyndel Garrett and Wife Vicky; and several other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank The Grace Home, Willis Knighton Hospice, especially Julie, Linda and Dr. Savory for their excellent care.
